How to Audit a Class

Published Date:

Description

This article will provide information on auditing a class. This means the student attends or participates in class as an “auditor” without receiving credit, usually for personal enrichment.

Solution

Register for Classes and Fill Out the Audit Form

Audited classes will show on your transcript with a grade of AU and CANNOT count towards financial aid credit requirements, fulfill graduation requirements, be changed at any time to be credit bearing, and will cost the same as credit-bearing courses except for senior citizens (ages 62 and older).

  1. Follow the instructions on the Registration Tools webpage to register for your desired classes.

  2. Fill out the appropriate Audit form available on the Registration Services.

The Last Day to Withdraw/Audit Classes is listed by semester under Student Dates and Deadlines.
